Sand Rocket, over fifteen years ago, invented the V-8 sand rail. To this day we are the only manufacturer that offers an automatic front engine sand car. People want to know, "Why a front engine?" There are many good reasons. We are the only company building a car that has the handling and steering response when you are mashing on the throttle. With the weight distribution close to 50-50 we are able to get the holeshot while the competition is left with their noses in the air. Our approach to the design of today's Sand Rocket is not far from that of a street car's.
